Three days at the Baltic with kids don't have to be improvised. This plan mixes the beach, animals and indoor attractions, so it works even when the weather turns.
Day 1: Hel and the sealsStart on the Hel Peninsula. The Marine Station's seal sanctuary in Hel is a sure thing — the grey-seal feeding shows draw even toddlers, and along the way children learn why these animals almost vanished from the Baltic. The afternoon leaves time for the wide, sandy beach.
Day 2: water park and ZOOSpend the morning at Aquapark Reda — slides, paddling pools for the youngest and pools open all year. After lunch head to Oliwa in Gdańsk: the ZOO spread across wooded hills is a few hours of walking, so bring a stroller for little ones.
Day 3: city and museumsSave the last day for Gdańsk. Hewelianum on Gradowa Hill is all hands-on experiments, while older kids will appreciate the Museum of the Second World War. For dessert — waffles and ice cream on Długi Targ.
Tip: buy tickets to the seal sanctuary and the water park online, especially in summer and on long weekends. Queues at the box office can eat up half a morning.
